If you’re just getting started, keep it simple. All you really need is a curry blend you enjoy, a liquid base like coconut milk, broth, or tomatoes, plus your choice of protein and vegetables. From there, it’s just a matter of letting everything come together in the pot.

One piece of advice we always share: trust your senses. Shop for spices where you can smell them. If you like the aroma, there’s a very good chance you’ll love how it tastes in your cooking.
